Privacy policy
In short: the app collects no personal data. It does not even have internet access permission, so it cannot send anything to any server. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics of any kind. The only thing we collect is the email address of anyone who chooses to sign up for news, and section 5 explains that.
1. What data the app processes: none
Revenir does not collect, does not store on servers, does not share and does not sell any personal data. This is not a matter of good intentions: it is a technical consequence of how the app is built.
-
The app does not declare the
android.permission.INTERNETpermission. Android blocks all network access for any app that has not requested it. Revenir is therefore incapable of transmitting information off your device. - There are no accounts and no sign-up. We never ask for an email address, a phone number, a name or any identifier.
- There are no ads and no third-party SDKs. The app contains no ad networks, no analytics tooling, no advertising identifiers and no measurement SDK from any provider.
- The app sends no automatic crash reports. If you have Android's own reporting enabled in your phone settings, those are handled by Google under its own policy, not by us.
2. What is stored on your device
Your preferences are saved in the app's private storage
(SharedPreferences), which no other application can read. They
never leave the phone and are deleted entirely when you uninstall Revenir.
- The chosen sound and, if you picked one of your own, the internal path to that file.
- The interval type (fixed or random) and its length in minutes.
- Quiet hours and the active temporary pause, if any.
- The app's colour and background.
- Reliability settings: alarm mode, stay silent on silent mode, stay silent in airplane mode.
- The time of the next reminder and of the last one, so they can be shown on screen.
- The phrase of your own shown under the logo, if you wrote one.
-
Any notes you write, in a separate preferences file
(
revenir_notas). You can put whatever you like in them: nobody but you reads them, they are not synced, not indexed, and they never leave the phone, because the app has no way of getting them out.
The app has Android Backup switched off. Were it on, the system would upload all of these preferences to your Google Drive, and the notebook would go up with them. Nobody uploads it: not us, who could not, and not Android, because the app tells it not to. The price is that when you change phones you have to pick your sound, colour and schedule again, and the notebook stays on the old phone. We think that is the right side of the bargain.
3. Permissions the app requests, and why
We request only the permissions without which a reminder cannot ring on time. Not one more.
| Permission | What it is used for |
|---|---|
POST_NOTIFICATIONS | Showing the time of the next reminder in the notification bar. |
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM | Ringing on the exact minute rather than whenever Android decides. Without it the system may delay a reminder by up to 15 minutes. |
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED | Rescheduling the reminders after a phone restart, so they are not lost. |
WAKE_LOCK | Waking the device for the exact instant it rings, with the screen off. |
Four, and there is no fifth. The app does not request the
REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS permission, even though it
would be convenient: instead it opens the system's battery optimisation list so
that you are the one who excludes Revenir, if you want to. One tap more, one
permission fewer.
The app does not request internet, camera, microphone, contacts, location, calendar, phone, SMS or general storage access. When you pick your own sound or background image, Android shows its own file picker and grants us access only to the single file you selected.
4. This website uses no cookies
revenir.es is a static site apart from the news sign-up form, which posts to a small script hosted on this same server. It sets no cookies, uses no local storage, runs no analytics or tracking pixels, loads no external fonts and embeds no third-party scripts, videos or resources. Everything the page loads comes from this same domain.
That is why there is no cookie banner: there is no purpose to consent to under Article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI-CE or the ePrivacy Directive. The only exceptions are the outbound links —to Google Play, to Google's own policy or to the Spanish data protection authority—, which are followed only if you choose to click them.
As with any web server, the hosting provider may record technical logs containing the IP address, date and requested page, for the sole purpose of keeping the service running and protecting it against attacks (legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not consult those logs for profiling, do not cross-reference them with anything else, and do not use them to identify anyone.
5. If you email us, or sign up for news
If you write to hola.quitar-esto@revenir-nospam.es, we process your address and the content of your message for the sole purpose of replying (legal basis: legitimate interest in answering your enquiry, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep the email for the duration of the conversation plus a reasonable period afterwards in case it resumes, then delete it. We do not use it to send you marketing and we do not pass it to anyone.
If you sign up for the news list, we keep your email address and, if you write it, your name. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking a box that is never pre-ticked. Alongside the entry we store the date and the version of the text you agreed to: that is how we can show the consent existed and what it was given to.
It is used only to tell you about Revenir — the iPhone version, new sounds, changes that affect you. We do not pass it to anyone, do not cross-reference it with anything else, and do not use it for third-party advertising.
There is no external platform involved. The list is kept on the revenir.es server itself, in a file that is not reachable from the web. We do not use Mailchimp, Brevo or anything similar, precisely because they require loading their scripts and their cookies into the page.
You can unsubscribe whenever you like, by writing to us or through the link every email will carry. Doing so deletes the whole record; it is not flagged as inactive or kept "just in case".
How long we keep it: for as long as you want to stay on the list, and not a day longer. There is no fixed period because it is not ours to set: you set it by unsubscribing. If we ever stopped sending news, we would delete the whole list rather than keep it.
6. Who the data controller is
- Registered name
- IXIUM, S.L.
- Tax ID (CIF)
- B39538954
- Registered office
- Luis Martínez 21, 39005 Santander, Cantabria (Spain)
- Contact email
- hola.quitar-esto@revenir-nospam.es
- Website
- revenir.es
- Application
- Revenir (
es.revenir.app) for Android - Commercial Register
- Registered at the Commercial Register of Cantabria, volume 771, book 0, sheet 27, section 8, page S-13481, entry 1.
Where this policy says “Revenir”, “we” or “our”, it means IXIUM, S.L., the controller of the personal data you give us.
7. Downloads from Google Play
The app is distributed through Google Play. When you download Revenir, Google processes data related to your account and device as an independent controller, under its own privacy policy. All we see are the aggregated, anonymous statistics that Play Console offers every developer (number of installs, country, Android version); those figures cannot identify any individual.
8. Disclosures, transfers and automated decisions
We disclose no data to third parties, because we hold none. We make no international transfers. We do no profiling and take no automated decisions producing legal effects on anyone.
9. Your rights
Even though in practice we hold no information about you, you may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to hola.quitar-esto@revenir-nospam.es. We reply within one month.
If you signed up for the news list, you may withdraw your consent whenever you like, without explaining why. Withdrawing it does not affect the lawfulness of what was done before you withdrew it (art. 7.3 of the GDPR).
If you believe your request was not handled properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or with the supervisory authority of your own country.
To erase everything the app stores, simply uninstall it, or use Settings → Apps → Revenir → Storage → Clear data.
10. Children
Revenir is suitable for all ages and is not specifically directed at children. Since the app collects no data at all, it processes no children's information and needs no age verification.
The one thing that does collect data is the news list, and you must be at least 14 years old to sign up — the age from which a person can consent to the processing of their own personal data in Spain (art. 7 of the LOPDGDD). If we notice a sign-up below that age, we delete it.
11. Security
The attack surface is minimal by design: with no network access, no servers of our own and no database, there is no place your data could leak from. The app is cryptographically signed before release on Google Play, and the website is served over HTTPS only.
12. Changes to this policy
If Revenir ever gained a feature that involved processing data — which is not planned today — we would update this page, change the date in the header, and announce it inside the app itself before it took effect. Never silently.
13. Intellectual property
The texts, the design, the code and the logo of this website and of the application are © 2026 Revenir. All rights reserved. You may link to any page freely and quote extracts citing the source; for any other use, write to us and we will talk.
The Lora and Poppins typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, whose full text ships alongside the font files. The photographs are not ours: they belong to their authors and are used under licence from Envato, so they are not covered by the above and are not passed on with it. The Revenir name and logo identify this application: they may not be used to identify another one, nor in a way that suggests a relationship that does not exist.
14. Applicable law
This policy is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on data protection and the guarantee of digital rights (LOPDGDD), and Spanish Law 34/2002 on information society services (LSSI-CE).
